lrm8888 stragey guide to Chronicles of Merlin

Chronicles of Merlin, my new favourite strategy game :). I’m not going to put a review here, you can check out their website http://cm.koramgame.com/. Instead I’m going to talk about my own strategy on how to build your empire.

First of all, there’s a lot of strategy guide in the forum and I don’t think most top players will agree with mine. But hack, each person has their own prefer method and this is what I think is the best for me.

Secondly, I’m going to start with level 40 and above (I’m currently at level 41). Level below that, well, the comments from the forum is good enough to help you to survive in the game.

And lastly, I’m not going to touch which formations you should use or which heroes you should choose. All that is best you experiment on yourself or you can read it from the forum.

Most players when they reach level 40, they will stay on there for months. Why? Well, their strategy is to get the best gear and best hero before they continue to level.

The issue whit this strategy is:
1.                  You will not contribute much to your alliance. Contribution to the alliance is important because you will gain a lot from the alliance ‘s research. Example, your silver will increase, your farm will increase and many more.
2.                  You won’t collect much silver from the Mine War.
3.                  In order to unlock the best hero you need gain a lot prestige. But high prestiges mean higher notoriety level. Players will attack those with high notoriety level because the prestige return is higher. If you move to level 60 legions, you start at level 40. That’s 20 levels different and the next good gears (after level 38) are actually starts at level 55 (apart from a good sword at level 46 and an amour at level 42).

Conclusion: Even if you have the best gears at level 40, you are unable to use them until you reach level 42 (for amour), level 46 (for sword) and level 55 (for gambit and clock). But as soon as you reach level 41, those level 60 players will keep on bombarding you due to your high notoriety. You may have a good hero but it will be useless without those gears!

My strategy:
1.      Your prestige should not go beyond 200k. This will give you a good heroes (be aware that top players, some level 100s, are still using heroes from prestige that gain at below 200k, so why bother to go for heroes beyond that?) Also, it will keep your notoriety low, now this is important after level 40 because if you lost in battle with other players you loss banner and building level! No top players want to attack low notoriety.
2.      When no one attack you, you can be assured that you don’t have to spend silver to re-upgrade your building level. Your banner is safe and you can maximise it to gain Better Point.
3.      Use your banner to earn as much Batter Point as you can, by doing that you may also get good gears from the NPC drop (if you lucky).
4.      Slowly level up, when you level up make sure all your gears + research + heroes level is at the same level as your city hall. You need a lot of silver and Batter Point to do this but your silver will increase as you level up, so is you collection from the Mine War.
5.      When you reach level 55, stop levelling and make sure you got all the good gears ready. Then is time to go to unlock higher level heroes. This is where you attack other players. But by the time you reach here, if you follow my strategy, by keeping yourself under radar from other players, you would have earn enough Batter Points and upgrade your good gear properly.

Legend of Edda - Review by lrm8888 - part 2

I think it has been more than a month since I play this game. And I’m still stuck at level 20. I realize how important to get “God Point” and the only way to get it is through participating in the Sacred War which is the war between the two gods. Level 20 will be the limit for Grade 1 war and if you level up you will be entering Grade 2 war which the limit is Level 40 (the current maximum limit in the game).

You see the God Point is important to buy powerful weapons and armors, and you need to make sure you have enough of the God Point before you proceed to reach level 21. Playing in Grade 1 is much easier than Grade 2 because most of the Grade 2 players already reached level 40.

At times the Sacred War can be very messy. LOL...in the below picture I can't even see where I am

Here’s the objective of the war, you need to capture the Hallow that appear in certain area of the map and place it at your God’s shrine. Remember that the team from other god is doing the same thing, therefore you have to fight it off to see who will get hold of the Hallow at the end of the battle. The longer you can hold on to the Hallow the higher God Point you will receive.

Here is my God Point status :)

Legend of Edda (MMORPG) – Review by lrm8888

Currently I’m playing this game. I stopped playing games for few months and now I’m back to it. Ok, first of all I just started and don’t really know the game in detail yet. So I’m just going to write what I do know.

Some of the features that this game has:

1. Choose your side
This is what makes this MMORPG unique. You can be either the good guy or the bad guy. Just choose the God that you want to serve. And yes, there will be war between the good and the bad guys on a daily basis!

2. Classes
Type of classes available:
• Warrior
• Swordsman
• Assassin
• Archer
• Cleric
• Wizard

3. Mining and harvesting
You need to mine to forge weapons, armors and so on. And you need to harvest for stronger potions. What make this game different from others is that the minerals (for mine) and tress (for harvest) will appear outside the cities or inside the caves. You have to look for it and if someone else get there first you need to wait for it to re-appear.

Mining

Harvesting

4. Weapons and armors
You forge it, buy it or wait for monster drops. Nothing much different from others MMORPG, just that you do not have a lot of choices to choose from.

5. Monster drops
After killing a monster, it will drop item (if any) directly to your backpacks. It will definitely drops gold (in game money).

6. Pet System
You can have a pet when you reach level 10. Your pet can assist you during batter and you can even equip it with its weapons. You can also level up your pet, the amount of experience your pet receive is the same amount of experience that your character receive.

Pet system

7. Quest
So far I notice there are 3 types of quests
• Main quest (think you can only do this when you reach level 13
• Normal quest
• Repeat quest (you earn most from this quest in term of experience and gold)

Pros
I like the idea where you can either be the good guys or join the bad guys. I’m building up my weapons and going to join the “war” soon.

It comes with 800 x 600 screen size, you can play this in your office and switch to work (when someone coming to see you) without worrying that you will be caught. Hahahaha.

It has cute characters (I like cute stuff, sue me), think the kids and gals will love it.

Cons
Its 2D!

You can’t make your own attribute to your status (its auto whenever you level up)

1/100 Nix Providence Gundam (Bandai)

Some says this is the ugliest Gundam ever. So what if it is ugly, for me this is my first Gundam collection and I love it :)

I got this from a warehouse sales, only RM65. Cheap er? Without the warehouse sales, cheapest I can find is RM89. If anyone knows there is a cheaper price than RM65 in KL or in PJ please, please let me know.

Total cost spent on this:

Nix Providence Gundam: RM65
Action base (stand): RM22
Box frame: RM60
Total: RM147

Box frame cost almost as expensive as the Gundam, but hey, if you want to show off your collection, box frame makes it nice and tidy, better than you place it in a shelf.

Power Ranger

Think I stop playing online games for awhile and back to collecting toys.

I went to Litt Tak’s warehouse sales with my friend late last week. Wanted to grab some Gundams (cheapest for 1/100 Gundam is only RM65). I’ll write more on the Gundams once I assemble it. I also got a Power Ranger (no idea which series is this) for my son. It’s only RM3. At 1st I thought I bought two Power Rangers (one good guy and the other bad guy) in a price of one but then I realise it’s a Power Ranger with an extension.
